The aim of the week is to showcase the strength and depth of the industry in Scotland to stakeholders in Scotland, the rest of the UK and the international markets; and to provide a forum for top level discussion about the future for this most internationalised of industries. The centrepiece of the week’s events is the Global Financial Services Conference involving some of the world's most respected experts in international finance. It will examine Scotland’s place in the world economy, discuss emerging markets in China, other Asian markets and Russia, and highlight the challenges and opportunities faced in maintaining Scotland’s strong position in the global financial industry.
